Criticism and Analysis of Beckett's Work
For a writer who concisely though repeatedly says that he has nothing to say, Samuel Beckett sure does inspire a lot of others to say a good deal about the nothing that he says. Since the 1960s, Beckett studies have gradually multiplied and diversified. While this section of Apmonia aspires, ultimately, to be a comprehensive directory and annotated bibliography of critical writings on all things Beckett, as a glance at the very incomplete list of titles below will attest, it's going to be an uphill climb. Be sure to check back often as we make our way up the ever-growing mountain of Beckett scholarship and commentary. We welcome all comments and suggestions, and will gladly accept new books for review: email us.
Please note that that this page also contains a "Quick Reference Card" of all the titles listed in this section.
